Abstract

The objective of the study was to evaluate the curriculum of the professional career of Social Sciences and Rural Development of the National University of Huancavelica. It was carried out a Documentary and content analysis, for this purpose was designed an evaluation form of the curriculum design and a record of academic performance and permanence. The sample was population-based, consisting of 407 students from the 2007-2014 classes. The result of the curricular design is deficient (1.6); and in the evaluation of students, the academic performance reaches an average of 12.6, being regular and the percentage of permanence of students of the 2007-2014 classes is 56.5%; Therefore, it is concluded that the curricular design would have some relation with the academic performance and the permanence of the students.
