N2 - This research addresses the technology of efficient EM microorganisms to remove organic matter from municipal wastewater at the pilot test level. The objective was to determine the optimal dose of efficient microorganisms, in addition to the TRH hydraulic retention time that maximizes the removal of organic matter, in the Yauli wastewater treatment plant, Huancavelica. The applied research methodology was explanatory level, with an experimental and factorial design that integrated 4 treatments 0, 10, 20, and 30 ml of ME; with 3 repetitions in hydraulic retention times 11, 22, and 33 days. The population consisted of the volume of municipal wastewater, the sample was 20 L per experimental unit. The data were collected in two stages: In the first, the standard sample was analyzed, later in the second, the parameters per experimental unit. The main results show an optimal dose of 20 ml and TRH of 33 days that maximizes the removal of organic matter; the removal of biochemical oxygen demand was 65.52% and in chemical oxygen demand 66.88%. These results guarantee compliance with the Peruvian environmental standard.
