Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the perception of public officials of the role played by the municipality in Yanacancha, Pasco, 2020, on digital government and citizen participation; the methodology was guided by a quantitative approach, with a type of basic research, for a “non-experimental” cross-sectional design. The sample used was “non-probabilistic” made up of 53 managers from the different public sectors, all of them residents of the Municipality’s jurisdiction; the technique used was the quota survey and the instrument was the application of three questionnaires with structured questions. The results confirmed the hypothesis formulated through statistical tests, where a significance p value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a 57.5% relationship according to the Nagelkerke index were obtained from an ordinal logistic regression adjustment. The conclusions indicate that there is a significant influence of the digital government variable on citizen participation.
